Plucky Passenger Jessica wanted to show off Birmingham’s most significant landmark and insisted we take a drive up to it, to wit, the giant statue of Vulcan who stands on a nearby hilltop in a freshly renovated Art Deco park. Vulcan’s most prominent feature is his unclad rear end, a fact everyone in the city will point out to you. Repeatedly.

Rick noted that he gets in trouble for showing off his rear end in public but apparently in Birmingham it’s okay. Good to know.
